PERSONALITY:
Amelia was brought up in a family of hunters, thus she was raised to believe that all supernatural creatures were deemed to be evil and a threat to human kind. Even because her own mother was "killed" by one, she feels a deep level of disgust and hatred towards the creatures. Although, she will go to no lengths of finding her mother's murderer, even if she has to make alliances with her enemies. As she was raised in a family of hunters, she was taught to keep her emotions in check. Amelia has taken that advice/training to a next level. She thinks that crying or showing affectionate feelings towards someone is a weakness and weaknesses should not be showed to anyone. Also because of her training, Amelia has mastered manipulation. She can make anyone foolish enough to believe that she is naive and innocent, when she is really not. Because of her father, Amelia has big trust issues and tends to blame herself for the things she is not really responsible for. Like her mother's death.
HISTORY:
There aren't a lot of people who can say they were born in the midst of war, but Amelia is not one of them. During a raid to a werewolf pad, her heavily pregnant mother was injured badly by a wolf who lashed out after her mate was killed. After acknowledging the extent of the injuries, Amelia's mother insisted that whatever happens, the baby has to make it. Her father, John, argued insisting that he could save them both, but he knew that when his wife had once made her mind, there was no stopping her. Delivering a child was one of the hardest things the man had to do in his life, that and watching the love of his life die in his arms while cradling his newborn daughter. John never recovered from that night and the life that Amelia could have had, ceased to exist.
As Amelia was brought home, she was welcomed by her two grief ridden brothers - Alec and Ben. The happiness of welcoming a sister into their family was overwhelmed by the grief of losing their mother. They didn't blame her, but they never understood why their mother had chosen death over her. As years rolled by, Amelia was welcomed into the family business - hunting. She learned anything about knife wielding to archery and even mastered some martial arts. But she was still an outcast in her fathers eyes. She was the reason why the love of his life was dead, and that was why he treated Amelia differently. He never took her with him to hunting trips for training purposes, he never taught her anything, Amelia had to learn it by herself or with her brothers. She never thought it was because of her, until she confronted her father one night and he told her everything.
Surprised by the revelation and knowing that her own father feels so much hatred towards her, Amelia left her childhood home hoping to redeem herself in some way. She knew very little about the monsters who left her mother for dead, but the information wasn't solid. She had heard about a town infested with wolves and hopes that someone might lead her in the right direction so she can redeem herself in her father's eyes and can get revenge on whomever killed her mother.
